The Five Oaks Club was formed to promote, encourage and provide facilities for recreation, swimming and other athletic activities, refreshment, entertainment and social diversion of its members in Baltimore County, Maryland.

Five Oaks was originally built in 1935 and was a public facility until the 1950's when it incorporated and became Five Oaks Swimming Pool, Inc. The club is a privately managed and operated facility. A membership-elected, 15-member board of directors oversees the budget, operation and maintenance of the pool throughout the year. Our management staff, which has over 40 years experience with Five Oaks, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the pool and pride themselves on their knowledge of the pool and personable services to the membership.

During the swim season, we offer lifeguard-taught swimming lessons, chaperoned youth nights, adult nights, and family movie nights. In addition to being one of the largest pools in the Catonsville area, we also feature a large playground including sand box, slides and swings, volleyball, basketball, swim and dive teams, a snack bar, shaded areas and umbrellas, pavilions and picnic tables, and plenty of sunny, grassy areas to spread out.

The pool's perimeter is approximately 60 feet by 150 feet, contains 320,000 gallons, and ranges in depth from 1 foot to 12 feet. It features two twenty yard lap lanes, a twisty slide and two 1 meter and one 3 meter diving boards.

We currently have 440 bonds representing approximately 1,700 individuals. There is a 2 year waiting list to become a member. The waiting list is on a first come, first serve basis and no one is ever moved up the list for any reason. The pool is located at 1817 Frederick Road in Catonsville, Maryland, 1 mile outside (west) of I-695 just before the intersection of Frederick Road and NORTH Rolling Road.
